  • Feasibility study for the plant was done by M/s Fichtner of Germany.
  • Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract was awarded to M/s Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Company, South Korea during February 2007.
  • National Electric Power and Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) awarded Power Generation License during February 2007.
  • Loan has been arranged by the consortium led by ABN-AMRO Bank, including Askari Bank Limited and Bank Al-Falah with debt to equity ratio of 75:25.
  • Financial Closing was achieved during September 2007.
  • A 15 km long, 20 inch dia pipeline has been laid by the company for transmission of gas from Mari Deep Well to Plant site.
  • A 42 Km long Transmission Line has been constructed by WAPDA from Plant Site to Sadiqababd Grid.
  • First Firing of Gas Turbine was achieved on 29th October 2009.
  • Gas Turbine of Foundation Power Company Daharki Limited synchronized with National Grid on 16 November 2009.
  • First induction of steam to Steam Turbine achieved in last week of December 2009.
  • Synchronization of Steam Turbine with National Grid expected in first week of January 2010.
  • All Consents required for operating as Independent Power Producer has been obtained.
  • The project is expected to go into commercial operation during January 2010.
