FOUNDATION POWER COMPANY DAHARKI LIMITED
FPCDL
The project was inaugurated on 24th May 2007 by the President of Pakistan. The project involves construction and operation of 177 MW, low-British Thermal Unit gas fired Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) near Daharki, District Ghotki, Sindh, Pakistan. The project development activities were commenced during August 2009. The plant comprising Gas Turbine & Generator, Steam Turbine & Generator and Heat Recovery Steam Generator.
The plant is operational and supplying electricity to the National Grid. As plant go into commercial operation 177 MW will be added to National Grid.
The Project is one of the first developed Power Plants under the 2002 Power Policy, and has been undertaken according to a 25-year Build, Own, and Operate (BOO) structure with a tariff agreed and approved by the National Electric Power and Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
Foundation Power Company is strictly following International Standards and is extremely environmental friendly. The Fuel Source of Power Plant is Mari Deep Well No. 6, having gas with no domestic and very low industrial use.
